We are so thankful to be safely home, and home has never looked so good!  We are grateful that I can receive chemotherapy treatments close to home using the MD Anderson treatment plan. At this time the plan is to receive chemo for about 3 months to shrink the tumor, go back to MD Anderson for scans after the third cycle of chemo, and hopefully plan for surgery after a fourth cycle of chemo. I'm thankful for the healthcare providers that God invites into His work to bring healing and comfort into our lives.

I am humbled and touched by the number of cancer survivors that have reached out to share their stories and lend encouragement. I realize there are so many people that find themselves with a health challenge, and there are many diagnoses that can be scary, if we allow it. I am comforted to know that God never leaves me to face a challenge alone, and he gives me what I need, when I need it, to face any struggle that an aging body brings into play. Throughout scripture God says to ask Him and He will provide, but far too often it is  easy to get distracted by a diagnosis, or a problem, and forget that God want's me to talk to Him and ask Him for the things I need. If we can have compassion for those in need, how much more will God help and have compassion for His children.  Even if you are not going through trials, there is nothing wrong with asking for blessings. God wants to hear from His children!  Ephesians 3:20 says "Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. " We do have to remember that God never says He provides for all of our wants, but He makes it clear that He will provide for the NEEDS  of His children.

He is providing for my every need, the peace of mind that passes all understanding is a gift that money can't buy. Another gift that is beyond measure is the gift of praying friends; your prayers and encouragement are treasures!
